It means being clear, constant, and consistent in the beliefs and values for which you stand. I belong to the Harrismith High School and there for I will give them my loyalty, that form my identity far more than any word or group ever could As a Harrie I will be outstanding and extremely good

Akademie / Academic

Harries bied ‘n wye verskeidenheid akademiese vakke en buitemuurse aktiwiteite wat sal bydra tot die groei van u kind op ‘n groot verskeidenheid areas. Hoërskool Harrismith beskik oor ‘n unieke vakkeuse vanaf graad 10 kan kies. Dit stel die leerders in staat om hulle beter voor te berei vir moontlike beroepsrigtings omdat hulle die vakke kan neem waarvoor hulle aangelê is en wat betrekking het op hulle spesifieke belangstellingsveld.

Harrismith High School had different cultural activities that include, Choir, ACSV, ATKV, Debates etc.

Geskiedenis / History

“A school, started in 1854, had an attendance of 30 pupils thirty years later, but the enrollment fluctuated, increasing to 47 in 1894. By that time, some of the school-going population were attending Anglican or Wesleyan schools, and when these church institutions eventually ceased to exist, enrollment at the government school, as it was then called, increased to 159 in 1896.” During 1900 was this government school use for a hospital.
